The Giants' Minor League Baseball affiliates had a busy and exciting weekend, with several standout performances and notable promotions. The biggest news was the 2026 MLB Draft, where the Giants added 21 prospects, though they have some work to do to sign all 21. Among the top prospects promoted were center fielder Dakota Jordan and middle infielder Gavin Kilen, who were moved from High-A Eugene to AA Richmond. Center fielder Bo Davidson was also promoted from Richmond to AAA Sacramento, marking a significant step in his development. In other exciting news, Low-A San Jose shortstop Lorenzo Meola won Player of the Week honors in the California League, while the Giants released AAA Sacramento LHP Juan Sánchez. The Sacramento River Cats, led by catcher Daniel Susac, had a mixed weekend, with a winning record but not playing their best baseball. Susac, who was slumping at the time of his injury, has been on a hot streak in AAA, with a 247 wRC+ and just a 6.1% strikeout rate in 8 rehab games. Center fielder/right fielder Turner Hill also had a standout offensive weekend, with a .886 OPS and a 135 wRC+ in 67 AAA games. Second baseman Nate Furman and first baseman Jake Holton also had solid weekends, with Furman going 4-14 and Holton hitting 4-11 with a 2-run home run. On the mound, LHP Matt Wilkinson had a strong start on Saturday, allowing just 1 hit and 1 unearned run in 4 solid frames. Right fielder/center fielder Jean Carlos Sio, shortstop Maui Ahuna, and second baseman/left fielder Diego Velasquez also had nice weekends. LHPs Charlie McDaniel and Tyler Switalksi struggled in their starts, but RHP Trystan Vrieling had a strong outing on Sunday, pitching 6 quality innings with just 1 hit allowed. RHP Christian Alvarado had another dominant relief outing, striking out a pair of batters in a perfect inning. RHP Will Bednar and RHP Ryan Vanderhei also had good relief outings. In High-A Eugene, center fielder Dakota Jordan had a stellar weekend, hitting 4-5 with 3 home runs and a double. Right fielder Lisbel Diaz and first baseman Jakob Christian also had multiple home runs. Diaz has been on a heater lately, with 8 home runs in his last 13 games. Shortstop Jhonny Level and second baseman Zander Darby had nice weekends, with Level hitting 5-12 and Darby going 3-11 with a home run. RHP Niko Mazza had a great pitching performance in his final start of the half, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run in 7 innings. LHP Luis De La Torre struck out 9 batters in 5.1 innings while allowing 3 hits, but also walked 4 and gave up 2 home runs. In Low-A San Jose, shortstop Lorenzo Meola had a strong weekend, hitting 4-10 with a home run, a double, 4 walks, and 2 stolen bases. First baseman Jerimiah Jenkins continued his power year, hitting 3-13 with a home run and a double. Corner outfielder Oliver Tejada and catcher Daniel Rogers also had nice weekends. On the mound, LHP Ricardo Estrada had a strong start on Saturday, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run in 6 innings. RHP Samir Chires made his 2nd appearance since getting promoted, allowing just a hit in 2.2 shutout innings. RHP Johan Rodriguez made his Low-A debut on Sunday, facing 5 batters and walking 4 of them. In the Arizona Complex League, RHP Argenis Cayama made a rehab appearance, giving up 2 hits and a hit batter in 1 inning. RHP Hayden Wynja and AA RHP Logan Martin also continued their rehab on Saturday. RHP Melvin Pineda had an impressive performance, striking out all 3 batters he faced while throwing 10 of 14 pitches for strikes. RHP Kendry Castro made his stateside debut, striking out 3 batters in 2 scoreless innings. In the Dominican Summer League, shortstop Keiberg Camacaro had a great weekend, hitting 2-6 with a double, a walk, 2 hit by pitches, and 2 stolen bases. RHP Rainiel Duran and Brayan Cabello had nice pitching performances, with Duran striking out 3 batters in 2 shutout innings and Cabello allowing a hit in 1.2 scoreless frames. First baseman Albert Jimenez had a standout weekend, hitting 2-5 with a 3-run home run and 3 walks. RHP Jhon Leon gave up a hit, a walk, and an unearned run in 1.2 innings, while RHP Alexis Gallego struck out 4 batters in 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 hit batter, and 1 unearned run.
