Neighborhood Democrats is a group of active and caring individuals who believe government works best with citizen involvement. We can alter our destiny when we choose to participate and get others involved. Neighborhood Democrats' purpose is to: identify and engage Democrats in a friendly forum; work to get Democrats, and those who hold Democratic beliefs, elected; support our elected officials; maintain an active and visible presence in the county. Join us and help make a difference in Galveston County. Government is what participating citizens make it.

Our guest speaker is your club director, Andy Hailey. As discussed during our GOTV
fund raiser in January, I will continue discussing in more detail the topics I outlined during that event. We need to better understand our political
opponent and what they know about communicating to their base and others. We need to learn how to communicate to our base and others so they not only
vote for Dems but Democratic party candidates inspire them to vote. A video will be shown! Also all of the candidates who won in the Democratic Primary on March 1, 2016 who
wish to speak to us and how we can help them win in November.
The local campaign organizer for Hillary, candidate Lloyd Criss for Texas HD-23, Michael Cole for 14th Congressional District of Texas, Cornel Walker for District 10 Judge and whoever shows up will give us current candidate status. All candidates are welcome to introduce themselves to the group and speak.

In 1913, a young unschooled Indian clerk wrote a letter to G H Hardy, begging the preeminent English mathematician's opinion on several ideas he had about numbers. Realizing the letter was the work of a genius, Hardy arranged for Srinivasa Ramanujan to come to England. Thus began one of the most improbable and productive collaborations ever chronicled. Though Srinivasa had almost no formal training in pure mathematics, he made extraordinary contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series and continued fractions. Ramanujan's creative intensity took its toll: he died at the age of thirty-two and left behind a magical and inspired legacy that is still being plumbed for its secrets today.
